The Neighbors Market is a bi-annual pop market held in Staten Island neighborhoods with high food insecurity rates. Our goal is to provide access to fresh, healthy, and affordable produce and mobilize residents around local issues pertaining to food Justice.

This year’s Neighbors Market is focused on organizing neighbors and community members around transforming Hill Street Garden, into a community-owned resource. This is a unique opportunity for Stapleton residents and Staten Islanders to come together, learn the skills needed to restore the garden, and be part of building a collective effort to ensure gardens in Stapleton serve our community for years to come.  Together, we’ll work toward restoring this vital space for food sovereignty and community resilience.

Here’s what else you can find at The Neighbors Market:

  • Fresh and culturally-diverse produce sold on a sliding scale from $0 up to $10

  • FREE meal kits – the first 30 people to register will receive them

  • Cooking demonstrations for low-cost, seasonal, and healthy meals

  • Gardening and seed demonstrations

  • Arts and crafts for kids

  • Community-based organizations

Entrance is FREE! However, if you’d like to receive produce or a meal kit, registration is required. Please RSVP here.

Registration is available in both English and Spanish. El registro está disponible en Inglés y Español.
