The Mighty String Demons Concert- Poems in Our Pockets

Young Staten Island violinists, The Mighty String Demons, under the direction of Sanchie Bobrow, will present a National Poetry Month concert for young people and their families titled “Poems in Our Pockets“.  Music and poetry will align as they perform excerpts from Saint-Saens’s The Carnival of the Animals, Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and other musical selections.   They will be joined by guest artists, former Staten Island Poet Laureate Marguerite Maria Rivas, Director of Staten Island OutLOUD! Beth Gorrie, Kazuo Nakamura on concert bass and Wenyi Lo on piano.   Appropriate for children ages 3 to 103.
