The Life of Mary Olmsted

Friends of Olmsted Beil House advisor and artist-historian Giuseppe Settinieri continues his Women’s History Month tradition of highlighting a woman associated with Olmsted-Beil House. This year, Giuseppe will focus on the life of Staten Islander Mary Cleveland Olmsted, mainly known as the wife of journalist, social critic, and Central Park co-designer Frederick Law Olmsted. We will learn all about Mary, including her role as manager of Tosomock Farm.
