Summer Adventure: Fossils

July 29, 3 pm.

This program will take place in person at the Mariners Harbor Library.

Join staff from the Mariners Harbor Library for an exciting, hands-on program dedicated to fossils!

Fossils reveals how living things have changed over time and what our planet was like long ago. Searching for fossils is like traveling back in time to get a peek at Earth’s past! Join us as we learn all about fossils and how they are excavated, as well as the practice of paleontology, or the study of ancient life.

First come, first served. Limit 12 children. Recommended for children ages 5-12.

Major support provided by the New York Life Foundation, the 2025 city-wide sponsor for the Summer Reading and Learning Programs.

Additional support is provided by Jane Lauder; The Rona Jaffe Foundation; New York Yankees Foundation; Montblanc; anonymous donors; and the continuing major support of the Andreas C. Dracopoulos Family Endowment for Young Audiences.
