Shell-A-Bration Fundraiser for the Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons
The Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons is a 501c3, not for profit organization located in Jamesport NY. Their mission is dedicated to preserving and protecting the region’s native wildlife and natural habitats by providing rehabilitation for sick and injured native turtles with the goal of releasing them back to their natural habitat. To educate the public regarding the plight of native turtles, their conservation, and their worldwide critically endangered status that threaten their abundance and diversity.
They cannot do this without your help! They rely on donations and are not government funded.
This incredible rescue and hospital was founded by Karen Testa in 2012.
Their state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, “Turtle Manor,” is a charming c. 1920 farmhouse, which is fully converted and equipped to rehabilitate over 200 turtles annually. The sanctuary is located on one acre of natural woodlands and manmade ponds and home to our permanently disabled residents. We are also proud members and supporters of 22 national charities.
Please join our fundraiser on September 5th at The Watershed Kitchen and Inn in Jamesport NY! Chinese auction, hors d’oeuvres, meet Sully, the resident sulcata tortoise, and some of his friends! Learn about the rescue and what they do. Take a photo with a pin up girl! Listen to love music!
