New York State Fair

It’s time for the New York State Fair, held annually at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY.

Families will enjoy lots of entertainment throughout the 13-day celebration of delicious food, exhibits, music and more. Each year, the fair showcases lots of animals, commercial attractions and rides.

New this year are two shows geared toward families with young children. Peppa Pig Live comes to the fair at 1pm on Saturday, Aug. 26, and Disney Junior brings its Costume Palooza on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 1pm.

Dinosaur Expedition is also new to the fair this year. It will feature more than 60 true-to-life, life-like dinos. Located in the fair’s Expo Center, it’ll have dinosaurs that range in size from babies measuring three feet tall to full-grown massive creatures that stand as tall as 35 feet with a span as long as 80 feet! There will also be story time every hour on the hour, a fossil dig and dinosaur dance parties.

All entertainment is included in the ticket price. The fair is located at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY, adjacent to Route 690 West. Driving directions are available on the website.
