Historical Fiber Arts Demo at Kings County Fiber Festival

This weekend The Crown Province of Østgarđr the NYC Chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a historical recreation group, is doing a demo at the Kings County Fiber Festival happening this Saturday 10/8 at the Old Stone House of Brooklyn just a short train, bus or bike ride from Bay Ridge.

We are offering the following free classes in pre-17th century historical fiber arts:

11:00am: Braiding 12 Strand Twill Braids by Hanya Polotskaya

1:00pm: Sakiori, weaving with rags by Angelica di Nova Lipa

2:30pm: Introduction to Kumihimo by Hanya Polotskaya

3:30pm: Introduction to Needlelace by Sofya Gianetta di Trieste
