A Salute to Nursing Past and Present
Susan B. Anthony was the keynote speaker at the 1902 NYS Nurses Association highlighting the League’s history supporting nursing and public health. Today nurses continue to play an essential role in our health care. We will learn about the challenges they face and the complexities of their work.
Guests will be Althea Mills, Chief Nursing Officer and VP Patient Care Services, and Mary Crosby, President and CEO of East End Hospice, along with other nurses representing the ER and mental health services.
This event is presented by the Rogers Memorial Library, the League of Women Voters of the Hamptons, Shelter Island and the North Fork, and Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
